News about the Travel Assistance Directive
The Canary Islands has signed a Travel Assistance Directive which insures every tourist against COVID-19 and its consequences while in the Canaries.

Please note that this only appears to cover travellers for COVID-19-related assistance which may arise after arrival in the Canary Islands. If anyone knew before departure that they were infected this policy would be null and void.
As with any Government advice or initiative, it is imperative you check for updates prior to departure.
All travellers have a responsibility to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place and that the policy covers them for their own health and travel needs.
The Canarian Government has introduced some new preventative measures which will come into place as of today, August 13, 2020.
What are the new rules?
1 Smoking is banned in all open spaces if the 1.5 m social distancing requirement cannot be met.
2 The use of face masks will become compulsory in all spaces (even outdoors).
As this is an ever-changing situation, we recommend that you check back here on the Club Las Calas website prior to departure, along with official Government advice on international travel.
