Opening Safely: Information for arrivals from 2 July
The team at Club Las Calas is very much looking forward to welcoming you to our resort.
The health and safety of all our guests and our staff are paramount. In line with guidelines from the Spanish Government and local health authorities, we have implemented best practice and strict protocols to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
This will mean that the holiday experience we provide may look and feel a little different for a while, but we ask that you comply with the rules and regulations in place for the health and safety of us all.
On arrival you will need to be wearing a mask, this is mandatory in Spain. Anywhere you are unable to maintain a social distancing of at least 1.5 meters to 2 meters you must by law wear a face mask. Failure to do so carries a fine of €100. Our staff will also be wearing protective equipment where necessary.
On entering the reception, you may be asked to wear plastic gloves, these will be provided at the hand sanitising station at the reception door. Hand sanitisers are also distributed around the resort for the health and safety of everyone on-site.
Wherever possible we ask that you pay your utility fee by credit or debit card and where possible payment will be contactless.
Your apartment will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to your arrival. Due to the additional cleaning, we are undertaking it is highly unlikely we will be able to accommodate an early check-in or a late check-out. Check-in time is 16:00. Check out time is 10:00.
To keep everyone safe the maids will only come into your apartment and complete a mid-week clean on MONDAY. This will include a towel and linen change. When the maid is cleaning you will need to vacate the apartment.
Maintenance will only go into the apartment for necessary repairs. The Maintenance team will ask you to vacate the apartment and they will sanitise going in and out.
To comply with social distancing regulations the pool terraces will look very different as the sunbeds will be set out to allow for social distancing regulations of two meters between each family. Only people occupying your apartment will be allowed to sit together and guests from other apartments should not be invited into your apartment.
In the initial phase of re-opening the resort, there will be limited onsite facilities. The situation will be constantly monitored, and we will start to re-open more of the on-site facilities as soon as we can safely do so in line with the Government and local public health guidelines.
Not all restaurants and bars outside the resort are open at this time. We are hopeful that more will re-open as and when more tourists are allowed to fly to the island. For those that are open, strict regulations currently apply, so you may need to book a table in advance.
Shops and supermarkets also remain under strict regulations. Masks must be worn, and on arrival at the door, gloves are provided and must be worn. Social distancing remains in place at the tills. Shops have a limited number of people entering so you may have to queue outside.
As this is an ever-changing situation, we recommend that you check the Club Las Calas website prior to departure, along with official Government advice on international travel.
