Information for owners and guests
Your committee and management team are continuing to review the evolving situation in Spain and the Canaries. As things are changing so fast, we can only reiterate that the best advice is to check official websites for information about Spain and about travelling to/from the UK.
As things change, and we have further information, this will be communicated to you via this website.
News from Lanzarote today
As of midnight 15th March the Spanish President Pedro Sanchez has declared a state of alarm due to the large amount of people in Spain with Coronavirus. Severe restrictions have been made:
Arrangements for movement and fines will be imposed if laws are broken – up to €2000 During the state of emergency people can only move around for the following reasons:
1) Buying food, medicines, and items of “primary necessary (e.g personal hygiene products etc) ;
2) Attending medical centres;
3) To travel to and from work (directly) ;
4) Help/care for dependents like children, elderly, disabled etc.;
5) Going to the bank;
6) For reasons of “fuerza mayor” – an extreme reason to leave the home ; and
7) To put fuel in a car.
It also has been confirmed you can walk your dog/pet but it must be on a lead, you must social distance (minimum 1m from other people) and it must be for the shortest time required.
As of today, what does this mean for our guests on site?
Guests are only allowed off the complex for the above reasons and going the airport. People are only allowed to travel alone, so not as couples or families, i.e. the whole family can’t go shopping to the supermarket.
The length of stay in the respective places like the supermarket is to be kept as short as possible. The taxis are running to help people without a car to get around, again only for the reasons above.
Guests need to stay in the apartments.
The mini shop is open.
The bars are closed but food can be ordered to be eaten in the apartments
Full support is being given to all on-site residents and staff.
