Social media round-up
It’s been a busy few weeks on our social media here at Club Las Calas, Lanzarote, with lots of news, amazing activities and exciting events announced for the summer. If you’ve not been able to keep up through our social media networks, we’ve put it all together for you below.
News from Club Las Calas social media
World Cup: We celebrated England’s success at the World Cup with some great offers at Skyline each time they played. The England v Colombia match was great fun as we had some lovely Colombian supporters join us at the bar.
Mario Monday: Our very own Mario from reception reminded us in his regular #MarioMonday posts.
1 Tracy from Customer Liaison at The Hub is on hand for all our owners and guests should they require assistance during their holiday. Tracy can help if you need to visit a local doctor or pharmacy or if need something translated;
2 If owners have rented a storage box, it’s really important that they include the box number when they complete the Holiday Planner so the team can have it in the apartment on their arrival;
3 Owners and guests can pick up their newspapers from the Club Las Calas leisure centre every morning.
Summer: Summer arrived, finally, in Lanzarote and temperatures started to rise nicely. How did we know? Club Las Calas staff began wearing their flip-flops to work of course! We issued a warning as temperatures can regularly reach 34 degrees, although there are cooling trade wind breezes on the coast.
New arrival at Skyline and Bistro 361: Karen, our food and beverage supervisor, told us that Skyline and Bistro 361 now serve Fever Tree tonic water in Elderflower and Mediterranean flavours – with more flavours coming online very soon. Fever Tree tonic was recently voted the #1 Best Tonic Water by the World’s Best Bars. And it’s proving very popular with our gin and tonic drinkers too.
Summer Mini Disco: Throughout the summer holidays we will be hosting a mini disco at Skyline every Saturday and Tuesday night for our younger guests. Starting at 7.30pm from Saturday, July 21, there will be free squash for all our dancers. We do ask that children are accompanied by an adult.

Adults 11.50€, children 5.00€ and our vegetarian option is available at 9.00€.
New entertainment: We have new Monday night entertainment at Skyline with a great evening of fun and games with John. Feedback from John’s first night indicate this is going to be a very popular evening – and it’s free.
Owner news: Mr and Mrs Eldis purchased two timeshare weeks at the resort and we look forward to welcoming them back to Club Las Calas next year. We also congratulated Smiddy and Linda who were celebrating their wedding anniversary and also said happy birthday to Malcolm Lilburn.
Bistro 361 popular: Our nightly specials and main menu at Bistro 361 have been very popular with diners choosing our scrumptious Fisherman’s Pie, meaty mixed grill and our delicious chicken and rib combo.
Moana at the Rooftop: Away from Club Las Calas, there has been plenty going on in Puerto del Carmen for guests of all ages. Pop along to the Rooftop Cinema at the Biosfera for their Disney Moana evenings every Wednesday during July. Meet Moana, enjoy a sing-along, games, and photos then watch the movie.
