What am I getting with holiday ownership at Las Calas?

Holiday ownership or timeshare ownership at Las Calas is probably one of the most simple ways of holidaying you could have. First, you pick an apartment to suit your individual requirements. This could be one or two-bedroom, in a quiet or lively location, or whether the balcony has all-day sun, a sea view, or shaded afternoons.

You decide what time of year you would like to come. This is called the week number. We then locate your ideal holiday apartment from what we have available. This will be the apartment you holiday in every year in your chosen week/s. And you know exactly what it’s going to be like because you chose it based on what matters to you – from the high standard of accommodation to the view.

How does it all work?

We have a couple of different types of holiday ownership at Las Calas:

1. Lifetime plan – You chose your apartment as above, pay an initial fee to secure it in your name, and then pay an annual maintenance charge set by the owners’ committee. You will have access to this apartment until 2068.

2. Three and Five-year plan – You chose your apartment, pay a one-time fee and have access to it for three or five years. There are no other payments after this.

What if I don’t know when I want to holiday at Las Calas?

You’re not alone! If you’re not sure when you can holiday, we can offer holiday ownership on a floating time basis. With this option, you have the flexibility of holidaying at any time of the year, changing it year on year, subject to availability. These apartments can be booked up to two years in advance and can be purchased on either a lifetime or five-year plans.

What apartments do you have for sale at Las Calas?

We have one-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom duplexes, two-bedroom apartments, penthouses, and a detached bungalow. We also have mobility/wheelchair-friendly apartments with access across the site with ramps and a lift. You can find a list of weeks that we have available on our ownership page.

What if I can’t make my week(s) anymore?

Life happens. We understand that. If you need to permanently change the time of year you travel please contact us for more information on part exchange which offers you the option of permanently changing your ownership for a one off fee.

What if I need to change my travel dates one year?

Providing you give us a minimum of 8 weeks notice before the start date of your owned week, you can change your holiday ownership week/s to a different time in the same year. This is subject to availability and the payment of a one-off admin fee for the change. Peak weeks may be excluded.

Can my family use my holiday ownership?

Yes, it is your apartment for that week, so your friends or family can use it with your consent.

When’s the best time of year to holiday in Lanzarote?

Anytime! Lanzarote has a fantastic climate making it an all-year-round destination. If you have to travel during school holiday periods, we have apartment weeks available, or if you prefer to holiday in a quieter or cooler time, we have weeks available then too.

Do I have to pay now and how do I pay?

No, under UK and European law you have a 14-day cooling-off period to ensure you don’t just purchase when you are in holiday mode. We don’t take any deposits and the amount can normally be paid when you are back in the UK through our management company, Resort Solutions Ltd.

Do I pay annual fees?

Yes unless you have purchased a fixed term deal in which case all fees are paid up front.

When do I pay my fees?

The committee set maintenance fees in November each year. All members are then advised of the fees due for the following year.

Can I pay by direct debit?

Yes. For members who choose to pay by direct debit their fees will be collected between July to June if they choose to pay over 12 months. There is also the option to pay over 6 months between January and June. Please contact Resort Solutions for further information on this method of payment.

What happens to my holiday ownership if I die? Do I have to pass it on to my family?

Not if they don’t want it! If anything happens to you, the Club will take the ownership back.

Can I go to other places if I fancy a change?

Yes, if you fancy a change from visiting Las Calas, you can join exchange companies such as RCI or 7Across (the new name for Dial an Exchange). For an annual membership fee and an exchange fee, you can deposit your week in their system and choose to holiday in another resort from thousands across the world. These resorts are located throughout the UK, Europe, the US, Africa, Australia, and South America.

However, we find the majority of our clients keep coming back here…
