The health and safety of all our guests and our staff remain paramount to us. In line with guidelines from the Spanish Government and local health authorities, we have implemented best practice and strict protocols to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
This will mean that the holiday experience we provide may look and feel a little different for a while, but we ask that you comply with the rules and regulations in place for the health and safety of us all.
Please find below some useful information which will help make your journey and arrival at Club Las Calas as trouble-free as possible. However, as advice and guidelines both locally and internationally are changing all the time, it is imperative that you check the updated travel advice for Spain/The Canary Islands and your country of origin BEFORE YOU TRAVEL.
Before You Arrive
It is mandatory for all passengers travelling to Spain to fill out and sign an online form 48 hours prior to travel, providing the Spanish Ministry of Health with contact information and details of any known history of exposure to COVID-19.
You can do this on the Spain Travel Health website or downloadable app https://www.spth.gob.es/ On completion, you will be issued a personal and non-transferable QR code which you must show (electronically or hardcopy) at airport health controls on arrival.
On arrival at Lanzarote airport, you will have a temperature check and undergo a visual health assessment
For people travelling from, and including, 14 November, it is mandatory for all travellers to the Canary Islands over the age of six to provide a negative COVID-19 test. The test must have been taken no more than 72 hours prior to travel.
The UK Government advice is that you should not use the NHS testing service for a test to travel to the Canary Islands. You should arrange to take a private test. You will be asked to show proof of the negative test at check-in on the resort.
If you do not have a certificate to confirm you have tested negative for COVID-19 in line with the above requirements, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHECK-IN AT CLUB LAS CALAS.

It is mandatory that masks must always be worn by everyone aged six and over. The only times when masks can be removed is whilst sunbathing, swimming or consuming food or drink. When you stand up to go anywhere you must replace the mask. Failure to do so carries a fine of €100. Our staff will also be wearing protective equipment where necessary.
On entering the reception, plastic disposable gloves and a hand sanitising station will be provided at the reception door. Hand sanitisers are also distributed around the resort for the health and safety of everyone on-site.
Wherever possible we ask that you pay your utility fee by credit card and where possible payment will be contactless.
Your apartment will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to your arrival. Due to the additional cleaning, we are undertaking it is highly unlikely we will be able to accommodate an early check-in. Check-in time is 16:00.
During your stay
To keep everyone safe the maids will only come into your apartment and complete a mid-week clean on MONDAY during your first week and subsequent weeks will be FRIDAY and TUESDAY. This will include a towel and linen change. When the maid is cleaning you will need to vacate the apartment.
Maintenance will only go into the apartment for necessary repairs. The Maintenance team will ask you to vacate the apartment and they will sanitise going in and out.
To comply with social distancing regulations the sunbeds will be set out to allow for social distancing regulations of two metres between each family. Only people occupying your apartment or family group will be allowed to sit together.
Guests from other apartments should not be invited into your apartment.
New regulations regarding smoking/vaping have been introduced. Smoking and vaping are not allowed whilst walking along the street or in a bar and restaurant, only in designated smoking areas and the smoker must be two metres away from anyone.
The maximum number of people who can gather at any one time is 10 people.
Our on-site restaurant (361) is open, but the hours may change subject to occupancy. This information will be available for you on arrival. Due to social distancing requirements, Bistro 361 is operating at reduced capacity so booking in advance is recommended. Table reservations are also limited to a maximum of 10 people.
Depending on restrictions in place at the time of your visit, the leisure centre and the mini shop may be closed. If this is the case, we will be offering delivery service from the Mini Shop for all essential items including 5-litre bottles of water and pool towels.
The gym remains open but by appointment only.
The situation will be constantly monitored, and we will start to re-open more of the on-site facilities as soon as we can safely do so in line with the Government and local public health guidelines.
Not all restaurants and bars outside the resort are open at this time. For those that are open, strict regulations currently apply, so you may need to book a table in advance.
Shops and supermarkets also remain under strict regulations. Masks must be worn in all shops and supermarkets. Social distancing remains in place at the tills. Shops have a limited number of people entering so you may have to queue outside.
Before you head home you need to fill in the UK government form https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk and receive the QR code.
